Question 2

In physics class, you were assigned “Prediction of Thermonuclear Rates in Astrophysics.” This is an excerpt from the article: The investigation of explosive nuclear burning in astrophysical environments is a challenge for both theoretical and experimental nuclear physics. Highly unstable nuclei are produced in such processes, which again can be targets for subsequent reactions. Cross-sections and astrophysical reaction rates for a large number of nuclei are required to perform complete network calculations, which take into account all possible reaction links and do not postulate a priori simplifications. Most of the involved nuclei are currently not accessible in the laboratory and therefore theoretical models have to be invoked in order to produce reaction rates. Please list all possible reading strategies you would use to make sense of this 12 page scientific article.

Wash the white clothes on Monday and put them on the stone heap; wash the color clothes on Tuesday and put them on the clothesline to dry; don't walk barehead in the hot sun; cook pumpkin fritters in very hot sweet oil; soak your little cloths right after you take them off; when buying cotton to make yourself a nice blouse, be sure that it doesn't have gum on it, because that way it won't hold up well after a wash; soak salt fish overnight before you cook it; is it true that you sing benna in Sunday school?; always eat your food in such a way that it won't turn someone else's stomach; on Sundays try to walk like a lady...
