The data in these spreadsheets come from two samples of 1000 borrowers at Ålesund PL.

One sample is taken from all borrowers with 43+ loans. Institutional borrowers and persons emplyed by the library were excluded.

Another sample is taken frtom all children with more than three loans.

The spreadsheets show the number of users that have borrowed a given number of media units during one year

.

We provide separate data for men and women (14+) and for girls and boys (up to 13 years)

.

At the moment, the data system only gives data for children with 3+, and for adults with 43+ loans.

The numbers must be read with an understanding of lending activities.

.

Many children use their parents' cards - so adult lending is overestmated and children's lending underestimated

.

Loans include renewals, so total lending is overestimated.

.

Some people change cards - their total lending is underestimated.
