AnyTo avoid outside faucet pipes freezing in Winter sometime before nights are regularly below 32 degrees close the front and back line shutoff valves which are usually near your water meter. After closing the shutoff valves open the air bleed cap on each Shutoff valve. Then open the outside faucets and press to one side the anti-siphon tab inside the faucet's mouth to drain. Tightly replace the shutoff valve airbleed caps so they won't leak when you turn them on next Spring. Close the outside faucets.PlumbingGary Stone garolds@yahoo.com1999.10

AnyCentral Heating and Air Conditioning units usually have a diverter above the fan unit which can be set to direct cool air to floors 2 & 3 in Summer which then falls to the first floor and warm air to floors 1 & 2 in winter which then rises to the 3d floor thus distributing the cool or warm air more evenly. Closing the Second level floor vents enhances this effect. As does closing some 1st floor vents in Summer and closing some 3d floor vents in Winter.HVACGary Stone garolds@yahoo.com2007.06

Richmond American Homes: BrooklineTub Spout with Shower Diverter DELTA RP5836 $15 Ferguson, 11730 Baltimore Avenue (Rt.1)
Beltsville, MD 20705-1850 (Enter access road south of MVA, proceed through gate, turn right, Ferguson is at north end of the huge UPS building.)GS: Could not determine original spout brand. This one fits exactly. Unscrew spout counter-clockwise. Got the spout at Ferguson before they moved to the Rt. 1 location. Haven't checked there since. Another spout, the Home Depot's "Universal Spout" will not screw on as packaged - it needs an adapter connected to the pipe.
