This is clearly a ground-breaking project and is as challenging as realizing its potential is exciting. This session will feature teacher and Project Manager, Paul Chillingworth as well as well as Business Analyst Ross Parker, who also represents the client, the English Schools Foundation, speaking about working with Asia’s biggest online learning company, Broadlearning, to bring the project to fruition.

Not only do students love to meet their far-flung peers, but learning to collaborate and create in an entirely online and inter-cultural environment will clearly be a critical skill for their future.
Learn how to develop a successful global project - from design and planning to implementation and product, as well as see examples of engaging projects from all grade levels. Tips for success based on learning experiences from past global collaborations, along with resources and samples of current globally collaborative projects will be shared. | Education 2.0 | MS404 | http://scis.s3.amazonaws.com/Friday.mix/404, session 3.mix.mp3

. | 6 | David | Warlick | | Contemporary Education: Three New Lenses on Learning | If the institution of education is to retool for this time of rapid change, then it must reexamine itself through new lenses. Three disruptive conditions are converging today on every classroom, teacher, and learner, and each one holds in its realization the clues for 21st century learning lifestyles. This is a more formal "big-picture" presentation that seeks to factor down the issues that we are all grappling with, as education reformers, into three clear and indisputable converging conditions. I'll be delivering a version of this address at NECC in San Antonio as a spotlight session. | Education 2.0 | MS204 | http://scis.s3.amazonaws.com/Saturday.mix/204, session 6.mix.mp3
