This pattern assumes that you have the general idea of crocheting rounds and making increases and decreases.

.

It is helpful to have experience with simple amigurumi that don't have fun fur, such as the melon ball kitty : http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60307 -- just substitute the magic adjustable ring (see note below) for the "Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook" instruction.

.

If you are on Ravelry, check out the group "amigurumi style crochet" for all kinds of tips and tricks

.

I am providing this pattern as a table written from memory after making Claude. It has not been tested, so if you find a problem please let me know.

Notes:Unless otherwise specified, all stitches are done carrying both Lion Brand Fun Fur and Green Acrylic (Yarn Bee (Hobby Lobby) Icelandic Jewels in this case)

.

When you start crocheting with fun fur, you will notice that one side has more fur standing out than the other. That side is normally the inside when I make amigurumi, so in order to make this guy look right, I was actually crocheting the stitch at the back of the work. There are some fun fur working tips on this website: http://www.planetjune.com/blog/fuzzy-yarn-tips/

.

I use magic adjustable ring to start all rounds, as found here: http://crochetme.com/Dec_Jan_0405/reads_round.html
