I am attempting to make each month of this 13 month journey better than the last one.

But I decided the best to do was come in and work out. So I got a good bit in and I stretched the way I wanted to. I want this to be my best month yet.

Everything is done very slowly and for minutes not counted reps. (they do keep track of reps though) I love the stretcher machine they have and I am looking to see the results in the next 3 months.

We worked our side kicks some more and all of us are getting better with each of the different kicks. I still need to get my time on the bike and running in and be more aggressive about getting that part of the training done.

Tweaked my left shoulder again and will have to rest it this weekend. It will not allow me to do pushups - so I will just rest it and get ready for Monday.

We did all of our side kicks on the bags 10 times on each leg and then put them in combination to get the feel of our balance. Few rounds of sparring - not too hard - forgot my shin guards. Cannot wait to get back to it in the morning.

As always I find it hard to get around that leg that hangs out there, but I am working on getting around it. Looking forward to tonight. who knows I may get another 250 in?!

5/27/2009 19:20:23150150Yeswhen the guys came in this evening I just felt like we needed to take some relax time. Right or wrong we just played some games doing kicks off the bag - side and round. we all learned from it but not really a strong work out . we did do 3 sets though in between.

5/28/2009 13:09:54140.75I had a meeting this morning and came in just for the sparring. When we got to the BJJ a man came in the studio and came out on the floor and gave us some coaching. Isn't it great how everyone likes to share. This was my morning workout and I hope to do some more this evening during the classes - like get my sets in.

5/31/2009 8:20:2425025036YesCame in this morning just to set the end of the month out with a bang. good workout. So happy I have added bag work into the routine. It is nice when there are no partners here to spar with. It give me a chance to work on combos, strength and cardio. 6
