6/1/2009 18:58:405Yes41Today I had a very hard weight lifting class and did not complete much else. I am feeling a bit on the down side and need to focus on business - that means physically, mentally and spiritually. It is a funny feeling when you are not feeling as strong as you think you are.

So it was a very good session. I started on my new sets - this time for 60 each set. I am sneaking up on the 100. These are a little hard. 3

6/3/2009 19:13:413003003YesSo today was my hardest day all year. My hip /groin area was in serious pain. I did go to my weight lifting class and they worked me easier, but I was still hurting. Tonight when Dan came in we worked real slow and did a lot of stretching. I hope he wasn't too disappointed. Read my blog about what I learned last night though.5

6/4/2009 13:50:393003003Yes140.5Dan and I worked a little practice on BJJ and then rolled a bit. All hand work on the stand up sparring. My hip is not right yet. need to really get this month off to a faster start, though I shouldn't be too upset. Have to remember a little at the time. PS. evening class I got 4 more rounds in with the adults. Good to see them all making good progress.

I really enjoy doing the bag work and I am stretching like crazy just to try to be sure to take care of my groin and hip. Had a great call with Tom Callos. More on that in the journals later.6

It is time to recharge. I am thinking about putting a day in at the park with the team one evening just to get a little outdoor perspective.

It is funny that even when you can't do what you think you should be doing, there are always things that you can do. The question is will you get yourself all tied up and not do anything. I hope to show I can stay focused and do what I can when I can.

I believe that it will get better soon and that I need just to be careful with how far I push it. There are things that I can do and that is what I must focus on!

How cool. Mary told a couple of very good stories today and her blog was awesome. I feel good about our team.

6/13/2009 9:38:1530030045Yes90.5This is Friday's workout, we did side kicks on the bag and on the body shields. Nice rounds of sparring and some BJJ. I was very pleased with the workout today. My hip felt warm and loose and I was walking most of the day without a hitch.

I have been getting a lot of comments on my weight loss and the way my body is changing. Some of them are almost in a critical manner. Sometimes I think that we may just like to keep everyone as they are without progress or getting better so we feel good about ourselves.

I really want to finish up good this month. I think about how when we are taking care of the physical then the rest of the things come together for us. It was a good day and made me feel great about going into the weekend. I had a good weightlifting class too, squats, core, pullovers, plank knee exercise, etc..

Spent quite a bit of time on the phone with a UBBT member - who needed some encouragement - but no excuse. I was very happy to get the kicks in, as well as BJJ. Thank goodness for the team.

Leadership AA request, Capital Newspaper, Weems Creek, and new ads to write and create. Still I could have done a better job. It is all about choices. I cannot wait till Thurs. My group will be there that drives me to do the most.

But I rolled instead of standup and that helped me to get through a good work out. I have more planned for the 2nd half of the year - just haven't told any one what I am thinking.

When I got to weight training on Monday morning the trainer asked me, Who was on my Wheatie Box? I was strong and rested and felt great. Today was good, could have been better but I am feeling good about this month. Full report later.
