. | Evan's Dilemma | 8 | Production quality is high, the song is interesting, and the musicianship is excellent. The arrangement might be a touch overwrought, though. Definitely worth checking out.

. | Coste y Dre | 8 | I like it. It's sort of gangsta rap via Mexico. You can never hear enough polka beats in rap (I know it's not actually polka.)

. | Nile | 8 | Pretty unbelievable musicianship, these guys have definitely earned their place far above Greenville's metal scene. This song, it's good, but the genre (death metal tinged with Egyptian imagery) is almost a bit too niche. I'd like to see them branch out some more.

. | Eleventyseven | 8 | I gave these guys' album a really positive review when it came out, and even though this song isn't one of my favorites, it still shows some of the elements of what made me like their album so much. Catchy, poppy, memorable, and strangely profound (considering the genre.)

. | Spatha | 8 | So, how do you review a duo containing a guy who has the authority to fire you from your job? Good thing these guys are both outstanding musicians, and are playing a piece by one of the greatest composers of all time. This has also been one of the only classical groups I've run across.

. | Edwin McCain | 7 | I think most of us know Edwin's music, and no one can argue with his success. This song isn't necessarily one of his best. It's kind of formulaic and cheesy, but I'm not his target audience.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/edwinmccain | Gramarcy Park Hotel |
. | EPDMK | 7 | Kind of a mix of Matchbox 20, Three Doors Down, and, I don't know, Coolio? The production value is very high, though I don't know how many people are going to really enjoy the genre mish-mash. It's still easy to hear that there's a lot of talent there, though.

. | Michelle Hannon | 7 | Whatever happened to this girl? Actually, I've always liked Michelle's music, and I like this song a lot. My favorite song on her album and on this page is Collapse, though. It would have gotten an 8, easy.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/michelleallen | Ostrich |
. | Noxious | 7 | I gave Noxious a fairly positive album review a while back, and I think they're a really solid band. I'd like to see them branch out, though, get a bit more experimental and flesh out some of the quirkiness that their earlier stuff seemed to hint at.

. | RCX | 7 | Very high energy four-chord punk. With the right vocalist, this could be really good. These guys are pretty, too. I don't think they'd last long in jail.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/rcxmusic | Four Leaf Clover |
. | The Disease | 7 | Reminds me of At The Drive In. I like it, although the recording isn't the greatest and the band could stand to be tighter.

. | Big Pic | 6 | Smooth R&B with some interesting lyrics. Obviously a talented singer, and I'm guessing the touches of autotune are for stylistic reasons.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/bigpicproductions | Thug Love |
. | Corey Crowder | 6 | I love it when an artist has a very obvious influence, and they don't list it in the "sounds like" section. I won't say who Corey's is, but his name rhymes with "Juan Shmayor". It's not bad by any means, but he needs to find his own voice. Listen to some metal, some Shostakovich, maybe some Phillip Glass.

. | Double Ace Squad | 6 | Nothing outstanding, but I like any rap that has an unusual beat.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/doubleace | Corazon |
. | Half Past Forever | 6 | The band known in Greenville as "Chris Sligh's Band". The song is decent and the arrangement is okay, but the recording isn't great and rest of the band just seems okay.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/halfpastforeverband | Hero |
. | Jewl Anguay | 6 | Beautiful voice, kind of a boring song, though. Find a catchy song, and you'll be huge.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/jewlmusic | I Found You |
. | Le Chevre | 6 | The acoustic-y other half of the man behind Culture Prophet. The music's nice, but it's very similar to The Postal Service, but without the vocal or lyrical heft.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/lechevre | We Want Everything (demo) |
. | Noel Thrasher | 6 | Interesting song and vocal style, but I'd like to hear a more professional recording.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/noelthrasherisagirl | Hmm I Was Born |
. | RealEyez | 6 | It's amazing to me how much better and more interesting the Christian rappers are than the gangsta folk. This isn't one of the best, but it's way better than most of the local rap I've run across.
.......... | http://www.myspace.com/realeyez51 | Heat |
. | Static | 6 | Kind of reminds me of the rap half of Linkin Park. The music is well done, if a bit repetitive.
