I began losing in late January of 2009. In early February I began a 3 month contest with a friend. On the "Mike" page my progress is charted, but the total lost column is based on the beginning of the contest, not the beginning of the weight loss journey. Now that the contest is over I wanted to start a new page.

Yet I weighed slightly heavier (260.6) when I got back. I guess I was pretty dehydrated before I left, because all I've had is one small cup of coffee and a bottled water.

After that I spent most of the day mowing my lawn, with a push mower. I probably walked about 8 miles cutting grass. I've kept my eating down to about 400 calories today, including one chicken nugget, carrot and raisin salad and a drink. I'm sure this weight may be a little low due to being dehydrated after all that lawn mowing. Hopefully it's low enough that I won't be bouncing back into the 260s though. Now just to get to 250 or below by the time Jon comes home on May 29.

However, I have managed to weigh in in the 258-259 range the last two mornings, and was down to 257 after my 5 mle walk this morning. I have 16 more days to get to a firm 250 before Jon get's home.

But I've eaten light today, had a good 4.25 walk/jog while Catherine did gymnastics. I'm hoping to be a least a half pound down tomorrow am. fingers crossed. Nine more days to hit 250 before Jon comes home.

After I have my morning coffee and cereal this 240 will climb a pound or two also. Still, the 230s shouldn't be far away. Getting to 240 is a significant marker. I was 240 when I graduated from college and went to seminary in June 1985. I lost down to 190 by Christmas of that year. Shooting for 170 by Christmas this year, but I'd be tickled pink to be 190.

In my experience, being fully dressed adds about 7 pounds to my weight. 239 less 7 pounds, plus allowing for breakfast, coffee, and a bottle of water after my workout, makes these two about the same.

I went back out at 8:30 and jogged another 6.3 miles for a total of 11 on the morning. I haven't eaten anything as of this weigh-in, but I have had plenty of water. I didn't expect to drop all the weight in one day. I guess it was pretty much all water weight.
