. | Saturday Midday Session | "Collaborators and Partnerships in Funding, Programming and Promoting on Public Access TV" In many states, the cable companies are challenging federal and state policies that protect the long-standing franchise fees which fund most public access, educational and government access stations. While the fight to preserve traditional funding is in full swing, many stations are proactively seeking alternative and supplemental funding mechanisms to support particular programs or the entire operating budget of their community media stations.
