JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST ALBANY'S NEW LICENSE PLATE MANDATE

We're almost there!

Albany is listening. More than 100,000 New Yorkers have joined the fight to stop the new license plate mandate.

The state budget backed by our local North Country Senator, Darrel Aubertine, and Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell, requires every car, truck, trailer, motorcycle and ATV to have new license plates, starting next spring.

The new plates will cost $25 per set, and there's an additional charge if you want to keep your existing plate number.

New Yorkers from across the state have told me this is a burden they just can't bear on top of the rising taxes and a weak economy.

In response to our petition, Albany's leaders said they would scrap the new plate plan.

But last week, they completed their special budget session WITHOUT TAKING ANY ACTION.

The license plate mandate remains on the books as the law of the state.

I promised to keep an eye on our local and state lawmakers to make sure they kept their promise.

You can help. Sign the petition. Tell Albany to keep its word. Then tell a friend.
