To register for express orientation, please fill out the questionnaire below and submit your answers. The answers to the questions will help with setting up your schedule.

Foreign Language Placement Tests

For all undergraduate students, the College of Charleston has the following foreign language (classical or modern) requirement for graduation: 12 semester hours in the same foreign language. The general education requirement includes satisfactory completion of coursework through the intermediate level (202 or 250), or demonstration of proficiency at that level by approved examination. The following languages are offered: Arabic, Chinese, Ancient Greek, French, German, Hebrew, Latin, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Math Placement Tests

The College requires the completion of 6 semester hours above college algebra for graduation. College algebra does not satisfy any credit hours toward the math requirement. If you have not met the math requirement, then you are expected to complete a math placement test.
