Printcasting.com is a Knight News Challenge project that began in June of 2008, and launched in late March of 2009. We democratize the print magazine publishing process by bridging the gap between digital content and terrestrial distribution. We started in Bakersfield, California and have expanded to a few other cities since then.
Part of our Knight Foundation grant is to bring Printcasting to 5 other cities through partnerships. A partner can be a company or organization of any size that serves an existing local audience with news and information. That includes newspapers, membership organizations, non-profit news co-ops, citizen journalism sites ... and more.
