Summer in the City 2010 is right around the corner (kind of) and we are looking for a new class of leaders (definitely) to keep the program growing strong. Like Summer in the City volunteering, our internships are designed to be fun, flexible and fulfilling--but they aren't for everybody. We are looking for dedicated, creative, energetic, good-humored people to RUN the program.
This isn't a typical internship where you staple things, observe and try not to get in anybody's way. As an intern, you will be part of a crew that does everything from leading projects to transporting volunteers to maintaining a website to raising money. That said, we want to work with you to play to your strengths and interests.
Best of all, Summer in the City crew members are some of the coolest people on the planet. We work hard, but we have tons of fun.
Our internships are unpaid, but the leadership experience is pricelesser than anything in a Mastercard commercial. There is no deadline to apply, but sooner is better, especially if you are a current in-state college student, in which case there may be Americorps funding available for you.
