The Business Apprentice - Skills Check 2

One of the purposes of The Business Apprentice project is to develop the skills that employers value, that will help you in Higher Education and which will be vital if you are going to start your own business. Whether you want to be an accountant or an advertising accounts manager, there are certain central or essential skills that you will need.
Here, in this second form we want you to answer as honestly as possible, how you rate your skills in these areas right now, at the end of your programme.

Internet Research Skills * How good do you think you are at researching the internet to find the business information you need quickly and easily?

Presenting to an Audience * How skilled and confident are you when you are asked to stand up and give a presentation of 20 minutes to an audience?

Teamworking * Throughout your course and your career you will need to work in teams. How good a team "player" are you? Do you always contribute fully, share ideas, help others, take responsibility or do you stay in the background?

I work really well in teams. I am reliable, dependable and proactive.

Presenting Business Documents and Academic work * On your course you will probably need to present your work in the form of a formal, structured portfolio which is well organised and presented. How confident do you feel about doing this?

Working Effectively * Most people in business spend hours in meetings. Meeting together has great advantages but can also be a waste of everyone's time. How much do you know about how to hold effective structured meetings which produce great results?

Plagiarism * Plagiarism is where we copy work that is not ours either from the internet or other sources and claim it as our own words. It is an issue which is taken very seriously in the college.

I know the rules on plagiarism and I know how to reference research materials
