This application is for the Boston Area Model United Nations Conference, or BarMUN, hosted annually for the Boston University International Affairs Association (BU IAA). We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for international politics. BarMUN is an entirely crisis based conference, meaning we are looking for staff members to help simulate international incidents, such as assassinations, bribing, military conflict, and espionage.
There are two types of positions currently available: Crisis Staff- These members will be responsible for working with their Crisis Director in creating simulate crises. They're main purpose is to write faux-news articles, deliver news to committees, and develop various situations. Logistical Staff- These members will be working with our logistics team to help deliver news article, provide technical assistance, and ensure the operation of the conference. This is a great way to get introduced to BarMUN without having to enter committees in substantive roles.
