RRCA National Running Awards Nominations Form

Club and event leaders may nominate individuals for the following award categories. Newsletter editors and webmasters are encouraged to submit nominations on behalf of their club for newsletters and website awards.

Categories:
Runners of the Year: Male and Female Open and Masters Runners of the Year; Outstanding Club President of the Year; Outstanding Club Volunteer; RRCA Journalism Awards for Outstanding Club Newsletter; Outstanding E-newsletter; Outstanding Club Writer; Journalism Excellence; Outstanding Youth Program Director of the Year; the Browning Ross Spirit of the RRCA Award; Outstanding Beginning Running Program; Outstanding State Representative of the Year; the RRCA Road Race of the Year, and Outstanding Club Website.

Instructions:
Please select the appropriate award category from the pull-down menu below for which you are nominating a candidate. Complete a 300 word maximum write-up about the nominee and why they should be selected for the specified RRCA National Award. See the RRCA website at http://www.RRCA.org/services/awards for award selection criteria to assist you in drafting your nomination statement. Be as specific as possible when outlining how the nominee meets the criteria. Please complete all the requested information on this form. You may nominate more than one individual for different awards or multiple individuals for an award, but these nominations must all be made by submitting a separate nomination entry form.

If submitting for the journalism awards, 6 copies of 2 separate issues of the print newsletter must be mailed to the RRCA National Office. If submitting for the Club Writer award, please email 3 article samples to office@rrca.org with Club Writer Nomination in the subject line. If submitting for E-Newsletter, please email a PDF copy to office@rrca.org with E-Newsletter Nomination in the subject line. If submitting for the Road Race of the Year award, please mail samples (finisher medal, t-shirts, entry form, race program, etc) of how you incorporated the RRCA name and/or logo into your event promotion. If submitting for the website award you must designate a volunteer to review other website submission as part of the selection process. All submissions must be received by the deadline.

All nominations are due by December 31st. The period of performance for the awards is January 1 - December 31, 2009. Websites will be judged based on the day they are visited by the selection panel so content should be up to date for consideration. Only nominations submitted using this online nomination form will be accepted; no other forms such as emails or mailed nominations will be accepted.
