The Bullitt Reservation: A New Property Managed by The Trustees of Reservations
May 31, 2009
Dear Recreation Enthusiast,
The Trustees of Reservations has asked the Conway School of Landscape Design, a graduate program in sustainable land use planning and design in Conway, Massachusetts, to help it explore potential future uses of the new Bullitt Reservation, which straddles the Conway/Ashfield line, in Western Massachusetts. The goal of the project is to determine people's levels of interest in educational and recreation activities that could be offered at the Bullitt Reservation.
The reservation was recently part of a generous gift to The Trustees of Reservations from the estate of Anne Bullitt, the daughter of William Christian Bullitt, who was the first American ambassador to the Soviet Union in the early 20th Century.
While the reservation is still in the planning stages and is not open to the public, it is expected to be accessible by Summer 2010. You can see the reservation's location by pasting this link into your web browser:
The following questionnaire has been developed to obtain your feedback on the new reservation's potential future uses. Please take a few moments to respond to the following questions as soon as you can.
Don't forget to click 'Submit' at the bottom of the questionnaire before closing the window!
If you are willing to offer further feedback in addition to this form, please provide your name, phone number, and email address. Your contact information will not be shared, and any information you provide will remain confidential. Please feel free to forward this questionnaire to anyone you think might be interested in future recreational and educational opportunities on this site.
Thank you for helping guide the future of the Bullitt Reservation! If you have any questions please contact Michael Blacketer at blacketer09@csld.edu.
Sincerely,
The Bullitt Reservation Project Team, Conway School of Landscape Design for The Trustees of Reservations
