LifeStriders Horse Exercise and Training Log

Hi,

This is the form to create a log entry for any Horse Exercise and Training that you do at LifeStriders.
Please fill in all the questions each time you work with a horse and let us know how it went.
Please note our policies and procedures for this program found below:

Policies

1 Only Level 2 Volunteers can Exercise & Train Horses
2 No Horse can be ridden more than 3 hours in a day
3 A designated LifeStriders Trainer or Supervisor must be on the premises before horses can be ridden
4 Riders must check with horse trainer or supervisor for horse assignment
5 All riding must take place inside the fenced boundaries of LifeStriders and may only be walked in spaces not designated as riding arenas.
6 No volunteers should be allowed to operate machinery or go into the hay loft unless authorized by Rob on a case by case basis
7 The group should not be staying at the house for more than 3 hours.
8 All normal LifeStriders Policies and procedures should be followed

Procedures

1 Horses are to be mounted using mounting block or plastic steps
2 Open a gate, close a gate
3 Barn must be left clean, swept, and closed with all lights/music turned off
