"For a better Manipur" and "North-East India Biodiversity" in association with Northeast Centre for Environmental Education and Research, Imphal (Manipur, India)supported by The Sanskari Welfare Society, Delhi are going to organise a campaign for the conservation of Sangai - Cervus eldi eldi Mclelland in four main cities of our country, please join the campaign.
The deer Sangai is found only in Manipur and at the last count there were only 162 left in the Keibul Lamjao National Park. The only floating National park in the world - Keibul Lamjao on the Loktak Lake is the last natural habitat of "Sangai" the dancing deer of Manipur, India. Habitat destruction and human activities are the main culprit for the decline in number of Sangai. Please join the campaign and voice for the conservation of this rare and endangered species. Your valuable contribution will help in creating awareness about the need of Sangai Conservation.
