Please fill out the following form if you are interested in the possibility of purchasing tomato plants and/or compost from USM's Karen's Garden and the USM Environmental Action Team. We are seeding and growing a variety of tomato plants using the school's greenhouse facility and the compost that we've created over the last couple of years. Filling out this form is in no way a committment to purchasing...it is simply a way for us to help gauge interest!
We anticipate that the tomato plants will be ready for pick-up in early June and will be about 6-12 inches tall for transplanting in your home's vegetable garden. We're guessing we would sell them for a price between $5-$7. All profits would go toward the development of "Karen's Garden," which is located over by the transportation barn on campus. This is the second year of Karen's Garden, which supplies our dining rooms with tomatoes and other fresh vegetables throughout the fall.
