This project aims to create a consensus -- to the extent consensus is possible -- as to the value of all the things a basketball player does. For each of the following box score stats, please enter a multiplier that allows for an appropriate weighting of that statistic. For example, if you think that a player should be credited with the full value of each point he scores, give points a 1. If you think, however, that the scorer should get most, but not all of the credit, and the assist-making player deserves some credit, you might give points a 0.8 and assists a 1.2, or something to that effect... if an offensive rebound, to you, is worth almost a point, but defensive rebounds are worth somewhat less, weight them correspondingly... etc etc. Some people feel that each statistic should be weighted evenly, and would give 1s across the board--others think that certain statistics should even count--and give that stat a 0. Please note that negative values are permissible. When all the people's voices have been heard, everyone's opinion will be combined to make one "People's Statistic," which will then be made public for all to share and enjoy. Tell your friends, too, and they can take the survey as well! Just direct them to http://peoplesstatistic.googlepages.com
