| The Office of Records and Registration is committed to providing a positive, helpful and enjoyable experience to all students, faculty and staff who need our help. Thus, our commitment to Inclusive Excellence is very broad. We want to be sure that we understand what people need and that we exceed those needs. Below is a list of our efforts to participate in the university Inclusive Excellence initiative. |
1.Introduced the concept of Inclusive Excellence at the first fall staff meeting and encouraged staff to participate in Inclusive Excellence events
2.All staff attended UW-L Inclusive Excellence Dialogue session on September 29, 2009 to learn more about Inclusive Excellence
3.All staff attended sessions of the Diversity Workshop on February 2, 2010
4.All staff members work with diverse students, staff and faculty as we serve the university population. Our focus is on exceptional service for all people.
2010-2011 Academic Year Goals for Inclusive Excellence Efforts – Office of Records and Registration
The Office of Records and Registration has a lot of interaction with veteran students and with international students. As part of our continuing commitment to the university Inclusive Excellence initiative in 2010-2011, we hope to increase our knowledge about issues these populations face and how our staff might better serve these students. Below is a list of our Inclusive Excellence initiative goals for the 2010-2011 academic year.
1.Continue to participate in university efforts to promote Inclusive Excellence by encouraging staff members to attend diversity programs
2.Invite Deb Hoskins to a staff meeting to talk about Inclusive Excellence and how to identify how we might better serve diverse students, faculty and staff
3.Learn more about issues returning veteran students face and how our office can ease the transition back into school for these students
4.Learn more about issues international students face and how our office can enhance the experience of these students at UW-L
5.Focus on excellent service for all of our “customers”
