Students will learn math concepts by doing daily work, frequently practicing basic skills, using manipulatives & experiments to practice concepts, solving real life math problems, using technology and doing assessments. Topics for 4th may include, but are not limited to mathematical operations, fractions, critical thinking, probability, decimals, measurement, metric system, basic geometry

Methods of Evaluation:

Progress will be evaluated by observation, daily work, tests/quizzes and/or projects, participation and performance based activities. Successful completion will be indicated by familiarity with and/or mastery of majority of concepts at year's end. Successful completion will also be indicated by appropriate growth on the MAP test or approved year end assessment. Satisfactory monthly progress will be determined by student working on or completing approximately 10% of the learning goals each month.
