Study Group on Interventions

Thank you for your interest in the study group on interventions. The Study Group on Behavioral and Health Interventions (SGBH) is designed to bring together interdisciplinary scholars focused on intervention studies at GMU. These intervention studies would test and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, services, or integrated delivery models that are designed to improve health, social service, and safety outcomes. A cross-disciplinary Study Group on Interventions would bolster recognition that GMU is committed to conducting complex research studies designed to improve service delivery and community well-being. A formal group demonstrates the University’s commitment to intervention research, to the growth and development of scholars, and to the translation of model programs and services that can benefit the community. We anticipate hosting several sessions throughout 2012 to develop partnerships and research ideas, work on methodologies, and advance training and implementation.
